Annual Orchid Show in San Jose

April 18, 2010 | | Comments 2

If you didn’t get a chance to check out the orchid show in San Jose the video will show you most of the flowers and give you an idea for what the event is like for next year. The location is the old customs house from the Caribbean train line that has been remodeled as a small exposition center.

The facilities have been upgraded from last year, and now include an entry room with glass windows. There is also a café that you pass after existing the main hall.

The Orchid show lasted for three days and brought to display the best orchids from Costa Rica. We decided to go on Sunday, and while there was perhaps less of a crowd the orchids seemed a little withered, and perhaps it would have been better to have gone on Friday.

The video is a montage of my best still photos and video as we walked through the exhibit. If you have the bandwidth then be sure to switch to high definition at 720p.

I also made an image gallery of my stills, which you can enjoy if your Internet bandwidth is limited.
