Wild Bill Cortez Transfered to Panama

William Holbert faces the press after capture in Nicaragua
William Dathan Holbert and Laura Michelle Reese arrived on Thursday in Panama City to face multiple homicide charges of as many as nine people in an apparent murder for property theft scheme.
Many of the victims are expatriates, who according to Don Winner in Panama were lured by the prospect of selling their properties in order to return to the United States.
At the time of their capture the pair were found in possession of $6,755 in cash, firearms, and various stock certificates, papers and corporation documents. Investigators in Panama continue to dig up bodies and have found personal papers and credit cards belonging to Cher Lynn Hughes among Holbert ‘s possessions. Hughes owned the hotel property that Holbert took over earlier this year after she disappeared.
The Teletica video is in Spanish, however at 0:34 seconds shows a very clear video of the couple making the perp walk as they get off the plane. At the end Holbert makes statements to the press and thanks the government for sending him a comfortable private plane.
Details of the Capture are described by Don Winner who is also responsible for generating much of the attention that has been focused on the pair. Don Winner also predicted the Arrival Today of Holbert in Panama, and is credited for prompting the authorities in Panama to investigate the disappearances of so many people connected to “Wild Bill Cortez” as he was known in Bocas del Torro.
The real identities of the alleged serial killers were only recently discovered when it was reported that Wild Bill was an America’s Most Wanted. According to Teletica the entourage that received the pair included agents of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, which has an office in Panama City. Agents will need to determine if Holbert is responsible for any missing persons in the United States.
Expatriates in Costa Rica should be concerned with the fact that Holbert was active here, and it has been reported that he had dealings in Arenal or Jaco, which have been prime markets for foreign real estate speculation.
Information and photos for this article were provided by Don Winner and the Panama Guide.
