		<description>The Catholic Church is, indeed, the established church of Costa Rica.  The Church has well-known doctrines about the sanctity of life and the sanctity of the family. As the established church, she is afforded the right to express those views. Those expats uncomfortable with those doctrines may want to find another place to live.  I hear that Panama is cheaper.

Also, pressure from other countries or from judicial bodies outside the country is interference in the internal matters of this country.

As to IVF, no one on earth has a &quot;right&quot; to have a baby.  That&#039;s a decision for God to make, whether to confer the gift of a human life on a couple.  IVF frequently results in the destruction of &quot;surplus&quot; babies in embryonic form.</description>
