The investigations carried out by the Drug Control Police (PCD) officers resulted in 20 drug gangs being dismantled in Costa Rica.
As reflected by statistics of the PCD, 15 of these gangs operated locally and eight of them were family-based. The other 5 gangs operated internationally.
