Some 26,000 doses of ecstasy were sent from Germany to Costa Rica through an airmail package.
The press office of the Ministry of Public Security (MSP) reported that the shipment -made through a private company- was removed by a man named Torres, who was arrested as part of the investigation.
That amount is translated into 1,045 grams of methamphetamine, including its packaging and 42 thousand colones in cash.
According to the authorities, Torres does not have a criminal record.
