About 30,000 people in the canton of Vásquez de Coronado won’t have drinking water this Thursday, September 14th, according to the Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (AyA).

The suspension of the service will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. due to the maintenance in the Ipís tank, which supplies this area.

The measures applies to downtown Coronado, San Antonio, Patalillo, Dulce Nombre, Los Angeles, Villa Margarita, Catalonia and La Fabiola. The residents of El Carmen, El Rodeo, La Y Griega, Villaflores, La Esmeralda, La Calabria and San Francisco will also be affected.

The impact will occur once the population consume the available storage of the reserve tanks, so the shortage could be lower in some sectors,”

informed AyA.

The population is required to store water only for basic needs.
