On Saturday, Public Force officers found a pick-up type vehicle loaded with cocaine that was supposed to be transferred from an underground track located in Bagaces, Guanacaste.

According to the initial report, there were about 17 packages with 20 kilos each, reaching a total of 340 kilos. The packages were inside the vehicle and thrown away around it.

The officers also found another vehicle that would be involved in transporting drugs and a bundle of money.

The discovery was made in a private farm in Cofradía sector, which serves as an aviation underground track.

The initial release of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) is that the criminals had no time to complete the transfer and left the drugs lying at the scene.

The case is under investigation.
