4,500 policemen promise you a “Safe Summer”

On Saturday, authorities of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) announced the start of “Operation Safe Summer”, so that if you want to visit parks, volcanoes, mountains and beaches, you can do it in peace.

The “Safe Summer Operation” is a series of actions including roadblocks, flyovers, surveillance in the Pacific and the Caribbean, as well as other preventive measures with information for tourists.

This operation will have 4,500 officers of the security forces, 580 police vehicles, 250 motorcycles, 30 quads, 20 ships, six aircraft and 2 helicopters.

Juan José Andrade, Deputy Security Minister, stressed the importance of being attentive to your belongings, keep valuables in the hotel safe, carrying just the necessary and in case of emergency, report the incident to 9-1-1.
