7,500 San José residents could run out of water on February 16th

The Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (AyA) announced that 7,500 San José residents could run out of water on Thursday afternoon.

Due to the “high consumption”, residents from Zapote, San Franscisco and El Carmen could see this service interrupted from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The affected communities are: San Francisco de Dos Ríos, Zapote, Barrio Córdoba, Quesada Durán, Barrio Luján, Carit, Plaza González Víquez, Vasconia and Jardines de Cascajal.

The service will also be interrupted in Naciones Unidas, Barrio La Cruz, Morazán, Amón, Los Yoses, Barrio Escalante and surroundings.

The institution asked its clients to use water with caution and responsibility, in addition to collecting only what is necessary for basic tasks.
