8 members of JUDESUR, accused of corruption, accepted the conditions of the court

To pay 2 million colones, to carry out community service, which has not been defined yet and to hold public office for a period of 2.5 years, are the conditions accepted by 8 out of 12 members of the Regional Development Board of the Southern Zone (JUDESUR), who are under investigation, along with former legislator Jorge Angulo, for a case of apparent corruption.

Angulo was accused by representatives of Coinkrj S.A. company for apparently collecting extra money in exchange of remodeling the Costa Rican-Italian School in the Southern Zone.

The accused who accepted the alternative measures are:

-Ramírez Araya.
-Otero Peralta.
-Loría Murillo.
-Mora Valderramos.
-Castro Aguilar.
-Flores Campos.
-Parrales Canales.
-Sánchez Toruño.

However, the ex-liberationist legislator decided to continue with the process and he will face a preliminary hearing, along with 3 other defendants, on January 31st.
