A Canadian prime minister is in troubles for visiting Costa Rica

Prime Minister of the Canadian province of Manitoba Brian Pallister is under the spotlight in his country because months ago, it was known that he liked to spend several weeks a year in Costa Rica during his working time.

According to an investigation led by the Canada Broadcasting Company (CBC), published in April 2016, since he took office, Pallister decided to spend 1 out of every 5 days in Costa Rican territory. As a result, he has been greatly criticized.

As if that was not enough, the politician recently announced that he will spend 6 to 8 weeks in Costa Rica during 2017, a year in which he will try to be re-elected.

I work on things that do not affect my job and I get some time with my family, which is great because I do not spend much time with them when I’m here,

declared the official.

Apparently, the governor owns two companies in Costa Rica and a territory located in an unspecified place in the Pacific.
