Crocodile dies in a cruel attack

According to representatives from the Tortuga Beach Reserve in Costa Rica’s South Pacific side, a crocodile died after having his tail mutilated.

The complaint, made through social networks, explained that the animal suffered the cutting of its tail and it was later thrown to Térraba River.

This is a common activity in Térraba-Sierpe: eating crocodile’s tail,

denounced the reserve through a publication on Facebook.

Recently, in the debate about a possible overpopulation, the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MINAE) insisted that there was insufficient technical support to validate this claim.
