A drug-trafficking family was caught in Coto Brus

Officials from the Drug Control Police (PCD), dismantled a drug-trafficking family operating in San Vito de Coto Brus, in the Southern Zone of the country.

Apparently , the group was led by a 31-year-old woman named Concepción, who had the support of several men, including a brother and a subject surnamed Chaves, who were murdered days ago.

This family group sold crack and marijuana in the Orotina neighborhood, in a sector known as La Isla, as well as in downtown San Vito and nearby communities.

Several people reported the situation through the confidential line 1176 of the PCD. The agents made the investigations until they were found.

The clan leader and one of her 28-year-old brothers were detained.

The PCD seized the evidence that linked them with drug sales, such as 652 doses of crack cocaine, three doses of marijuana and money from the illegal business they held.
