Abelino Esquivel, legislator for the party Renovación Costarricense, criticized the fact that groups and activists have not condemned other terrorist attacks in the world as they did with last week’s Orlando shooting.
It is strange that some groups and individuals who ask for a cease of violence have not reacted the same way with other terrorist attacks,
said the legislator.
Esquivel also condemns the attack on Pulse bar, but he added that
when 147 students in Kenya were killed, he did not hear a word from activists.”
The legislator also accused the media of misrepresenting a comment he wrote on his Twitter account after the attack in Orlando, and then added that if he had to observe a minute of silence
every time someone dies, we would be in silence the 4 years (of our term).”
