According to new survey, Solís and Figueres are seen as strong political leaders

A new survey published by the firm CID Gallup assures that Jose María Figueres and Ottón Solís are the two figures with better-perceived political leadership. The study, conducted between November 7th and 16th, consulted 1202 people.

When asked who should win the 2018 elections and become the next president, 13% replied that Jose María Figueres, 8% mentioned that it should be Antonio Álvarez Desanti, 3% answered Otto Guevara and 2% Ottón Solís.

Regarding who they consider to be the main opposition leader, 12% mentioned Ottón Solís, while 4% answered José María Figueres, 3% Antonio Álvarez Desantoi and 5% Otto Guevara.

As for the presidential vote, two groups of candidates were presented: in the first option, José María Figueres obtained 19%, compared to 11% for Rodolfo Piza, 8% for Otto Guevara, 8%for José María Villalta and 51% said none of those mentioned. In the second option, Antonio Álvarez Desanti obtained 18%, Rodolfo Piza 8%, Otto Guevara 11%, José María Villalta 10% and 52% replied that none of them.

“None” gets the highest percentage, either because people have not yet decided or because they do not like any of the pre-candidates.
