The canton of Acosta was one of the most affected areas in the country after storm Nate and it has not yet recovered from the damage caused by heavy rains and floods.
Norman Hidalgo, mayor of the area, said they are trying to completely restore the aqueducts and that 95% have already been enabled, at least provisionally.
According to the official, San Luis aqueduct and Aqueducts and Sewers from San Ignacio and Guaitil are the hardest to restore.
The mayor also talked about road repairs and about the people they have been helping people through the Joint Institute of Social Assistance (Imas), because they lost their homes.
