In a missive sent to the president of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS), the Trade Union of Employees of Social Security (AESS) claimed that the application of the Single Health Digital Record (EDUS) threatens thousands of jobs.
Álvaro Salazar, secretary of AESS, said that about 3,147 workers would be exposed to relocation or dismissed due to their Electronic File.
Salazar explained that among the affected ones there would be network technicians, administrative technicians, technical and network assistants, patient assistants, clerks, secretaries and messengers.
The letter was sent to request some explanations on workers’ job security.
