Air France is ready for its first direct flight from Paris to San José

Air France is ready for its first direct flight from Paris to San José on November 2th.

Through its official Twitter account, the airline showed a 31-second video with some of the ‘most charming’ tourist destinations in Costa Rica such as Jacó, Poas Volcano, Celeste River, Uvita or La Fortuna de San Carlos.

The first flight between the French capital and San José will be done in a Boeing 777-300 with capacity for 468 passengers and it will reach Costa Rican territory at about 6:30 pm.

The airline will travel to Costa Rica from Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris twice a week: on Wednesdays and on Saturdays.

According to information provided by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), Europe showed significant growth in 2015 on tourism activities.

Almost 400 thousand Europeans entered the country through all ports, which representede a growth of 6.1%. Only in 2015, almost 90% of French who entered Costa Rica did it by air, and 47,227 international arrivals accounted for a growth of 9.6% compared to 2014.

According to the institute, French people who visit Costa Rica have high levels of education and they are lovers of sustainable tourism and nature.
