A couple of American tourists died on Wednesday afternoon when they bathed in the waterfall El Salto in Nicoya, Guanacaste.
Carlos Hidalgo, from the Press Office of the Ministry of Public Security (MSP) reported that the couple drowned and their bodies were found by neighbors in the area, after several minutes of search.
The victims were identified as Darren Duane Mizokami, 48, and Kimberly Tean Mizokami, 41. The case was left in the hands of the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ).
