Amor Q: a project that aims to help LGBT community

For several years the Association for Sexology in Costa Rica created the Amor Q project to organize a community to provide voluntarily support to LGBTI people who are going through difficult situations or are at risk due to family or social rejection.

The group aims to help in the economic, educational, medical, psychological, legal, and working aspects all those people who are suffering from discrimination in the country due to their sexual orientations.

They also work with many of these people’s family in order to guide and help them to accept their sons or daughters’ conditions.

Their work is also focused on transgender people because they are the most rejected, marginalized and discriminated in our societies.

When they can, Amor Q travels across the country. However, they currently have little financial support. As consequence, they are looking for help from those willing to be part of the change in Costa Rica, such as actor Leynar Gómez, leading role of Narcos, Netflix series, who will perform a play called El Salto and part of the funds will go to Amor Q project.

This group also offers workshops on sexuality in exchange of donations. If you want to help, you can call to 88470839 or 22811178 and you can also write to email to enlacevital@gmail.com.
