Another cyclist died, this time in Cartago

Another cyclist was hit last Sunday in Paraíso de Cartago, according to a video posted on social networks.

The images show a cyclist who travels from left to right (on the screen) and is later hit by a vehicle that travels from top to bottom.

After the accident, some passersby and the driver of the vehicle helped the victim.

In social networks users criticize that at this junction, located in Llanos de Santa Lucia, there are no traffic signs or demarcation.

Reports of accidents with cyclists have become more common, after 3 of them were ran over on January 29th.

The concern about the issue is so high that President Luis Guillermo Solís asked his cabinet to collect all available information on road safety to build a new comprehensive proposal.
