Another earthquake shook the southern area

Only 16 minutes after the strong earthquake that shook several locations in Central Valley, Pérez Zeledón and the North, another tremor of 4.6 magnitude was recorded 7 kilometers northwest of Laurel de Corredores, in the South.

The Vulcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica National University (OVSICORI-UNA) reported that the quake occurred at 10:22 a.m. at a depth of 5 kilometers.

The other earthquake was felt in Cartago, Desamparados, Calle Blancos, Moravia, La Uruca, Pavas, Sabana, Santa Ana and San Rafael de Montes de Oca.

This event was centered in San Pablo, León Cortés at a depth of 8 kilometers, according to information from OVSICORI.
