App will let you know the progress of the list of surgeries in the CCSS

A mobile app tells you the position of your pending surgery in the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS).

“Surgical Route” is an aggregate of the app of the Single Health Record (EDUS) that allow patients from 21 hospitals and the Eye Clinic to keep track of their surgeries since the moment they were scheduled.

To use it you need to be registered in Ebais. If you haven’t been there in a while, your information is probably not up to date.

Once you can sign up for the Edus app, you can see the Surgical Route button and check the date on which the surgery is scheduled, how many days are left for the operation and how many people go before you in the hospital assigned to you.

Reportedly, there are 67,874 patients waiting for surgery since 2010.

The authorities indicated that one of the purposes with this is to provide greater transparency with the policyholder.

The app is available for iOS and Android systems for free.
