AyA is repairing aqueducts in order to solve problems caused by hurricane Otto

Eight technical teams from Aqueducts and Sewers (AyA) are identifying the repairs and reconstruction of aqueducts that must be carried out in order to solve problems caused by hurricane Otto.

Water continues to be distributed in tanker trucks in the cantons of Bagaces, Los Chiles, Upala, La Cruz, Golfito and Corredores. AyA installed 40 tanks in the affected areas in order to distribute drinking water,

informed AyA.

In addition, 80 rescue teams remain available throughout the country to assist emergencies or new, possible incidents.

After hitting the country, Otto left 10 dead people and destruction in Upala.
