Banks to give grace period before closing accounts

Representatives from Banco Nacional, Banco Popular and Banco de Costa Costa Rica have said they will give account holders who failed to update their personal information a few days of grace before closing their accounts. Informational updates are required by Law 8204, and are designed to counter money laundering, terrorism and illegal activity.
