The use of electric transportation technology in Costa Rica as an effective way to reduce fossil fuel consumption, environmental pollution, damage to public health and over spending is a topic that is going to be discussed thanks to the electric transport bill.
The bill has already been presented and now the discussion process in the plenary is the next step, which I think is the most important part because that will introduce the matter to the country,
said legislator Marcela Guerrero.
The National Chamber of Bus Drivers (CANABUS) and the bus companies see the project as a positive thing and they hope that transport and energy paradigms change. However, aspects such as urban planning, the use of appropriate technology and a correct pricing policy for the project should be discussed because that will lead to a true social, environmental and economic benefit.
