Cameras capture stunning images of wild animals in Guanacaste

A series of trap cameras captured images of a great numbers of animals in Las Catalinas, Potrero and Punta Sabana, Matapalo, Guanacaste.

The images were shared in Guanacaste Wildlife Monitoring social networks in which felines such as pumas, margay cats, and other mammals such as white-faced monkeys, raccoons, coyotes, tolomucos, armadillos, deer and anteaters, as well as turtles and hawks can be seen.

We share the first compilation of wildlife videos with our new project with the Matapalo School. The videos were recorded with 5 cameras on the property of Punta Sabana, near Matapalo. We are super excited to be part of this innovative environmental education project. We hope to share more project results very soon,”

they posted on Facebook.

In total, we recorded 1,753 wildlife videos of 52 different species in 3 months. Thanks to Michael García and the Agroforestry team of Las Catalinas for all their work and support during this project,”
