CANABUS: the government should define the rules for electronic payment

Last Friday, the MOPT held a forum on “The importance of electronic payment for the modernization of public transport”, but Alfredo Villalobos, president of the National Chamber of bus drivers (CANABUS), didn’t attend the activity and sent a letter explaining his reasons.

We do not understand the position of the ministry and we insist on the fact that the executive branch must state once and for all what the rules of the system are going to be, to start working and set the plan in motion, because it is a great benefit for the users,”

said Villalobos.

Villalobos also added that although he did not attend the meeting, he is offering the authorities the conclusions of the International Seminar involving technology providers in Europe and Latin America and experts in the field of electronic payment, which was held a week ago.
