Carlos Alvarado says he is satisfied with the cabinet

According to president-elect Carlos Alvarado, choosing the ministers and vice-ministers for the next four years was an arduous job, but he is satisfied with the decisions he made and will be presenting at Escuela Metálica in downtown San José.

It has been a particularly different and arduous process and I am satisfied with what will be presented,”

said the president-elect on Thursday morning after receiving the official credential of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal.

According to Alvarado, he took into account three elements to choose each person for each position. One of those factors was the political representativeness, to fulfill its promise and desire to form a government of national unity.

We had to balance competence, suitability, gender, and political representation in some of the portfolios,”

said the president, who will receive the presidential band from Luis Guillermo Solís on May 8th.

Although no names have been announced, rumors have it that Rodolfo Piza will be the Minister of the Presidency, that Vice President Epsy Campbell will also have another position and that the mayor of Curridabat, Edgar Mora, will be Minister of Education.
