CCSS invests in staff and infrastructure for indigenous population

The Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) invests in personnel and infrastructure for indigenous populations Valle La Estrella and Alta Talamanca.

As part of the actions that will provide better service, the CCSS will bear the cost of raising EBAIS headquarters at Gavilán.

The institution will also support all actions related to the opening of periodic visit location in Boca Cohen, which was built by the community and various state organizations.

In Alta Talamanca, the CCSS hired a specialist in family and community medicine to strengthen the attention to the indigenous population living in that territory.

With this expert, the CCSS aims to provide better care to that community, living in extremely precarious conditions with health levels that are below the national average.
