CCSS will establish a trust fund to improve health areas

Authorities from the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) announced on Tuesday the improvements and new buildings for 30 health areas, Fund branches and others.

Gustavo Picado, collection Manager of the Fund, said this trust is related to the World Bank loan approved by the Legislative Assembly last week.

According to Maria Eugenia Villalta, medical Manager of the Fund, about half of the CCSS health areas require improvements or new facilities.

They are looking for an appropriate financial institution for the trust, which should be decided in October, so that the contract is presented to the  General Comptroller in December.

The works are expected to begin in March 2017, with an investment of more more than $ 471 million.
