CRHoy

The Central Valley was flooded after the rains of Wednesday afternoon.

In areas such as Sabana, Downtown San José and San Sebastián there were floods. There were 8 houses and 6 people affected.

The neighbors of Calle Morenos once again were victims of the flooding of the river that surrounds their houses. The residents look at the water level and prepare to spend the night somewhere else.

Alfredo Fernández Cordero has lived here for more than four decades and says that throughout the night, he will have to draw water from his home.

Meanwhile, Firemen of Pavas and Central rescued people due to flooding in Cañada del Sur, behind the IPU. More incidents are reported in the surrounding area.

At the moment there are no deaths and people who were rescued are in good health, reported the Firefighters

The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) reported that the atmospheric instability due to the tropical wave on Tuesday, together with the Convergence Zone that is located in the north of Costa Rica and, in addition, local factors such as the evaporation process from the first hours of the morning, create ideal conditions for rainfall in the country.
