Chamber of Commerce celebrates dual education approval

The Chamber of Commerce celebrated the approval in the first reading of the project that regulates training and dual education in the country.

According to the Chamber, this initiative will contribute and to some extent face the challenge of youth unemployment and economic recovery.

For the commerce sector, the challenge and the requirement is to expand and balance technical training with the future work experience of the youth population in the face of the job offer. Dual education and training should be visualized as part of a broader set of public policy measures aimed at guaranteeing quality education,”

said Alonso Elizondo, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce.

In Costa Rica, unemployment of the young population (15 to 24 years old) reached a record 32.5%, according to INEC.
