The National Commission of Emergencies now has 208 the projects of attention of first impacts after Storm Nate that affected the country a week and a half ago and caused important damage in diverse zones of the national territory.
On October 11th, a previous cut had been made in which 151 works of first impact had been established. On Monday, that number was increased by 57, which means an investment of more than ¢1,325 million.
The first impact works are concentrated in cleaning of roads, construction of protection pools in the river banks, stacking material, rehabilitation of roads, as well as bridges. In addition, there are works to re-communicate communities that were trapped by landslides.
This is stipulated by the Emergency Law.
Of the amount being invested, San José that has received and will receive more money, with ¢917,9 million, followed by Puntarenas for which it was approved 147.5 million, Cartago will get ¢138.8 million, Guanacaste, one of the most affected areas, was awarded ¢79.1 million and for Alajuela ¢42.2 million were allocated.
The National Emergency Commission is still calling for construction companies that are registered in the Integrated Public Procurement System of the MOPT to participate in the tenders so that all these works can be awarded quickly.
