CNS started salary increase discussion for the private sector

In the midst of the strike against the fiscal plan, the National Salary Council (CNS) began the hearings with sector representatives to fix the increase in minimum wages for the private sector in 2019.

The representatives of the Unitary Union and Social Costarican Unity Block (BUSSCO) presented a proposal for a general 2.96% increase and a 3.96% increase for domestic workers and non-qualified employees per day.

The representatives of the trade union centrals presented a proposal with the same percentage for a general increase for the year 2019 and an additional 2.5% for domestic work.

The hearing of the employer representatives will be held next Monady. The government will have its turn on October 24th
