Commission of fiscal reform starts working with its faith in a substitute project

The option of a new substitute text is in the horizon of the new commission, which will analyze the project of the fiscal reform. The organ was created this Thursday. However, while this is happening, they will work on organizing to analyze the more than 1,500 motions that were issued on the subject.

The commission was formed by Gustavo Viales, Yorlenni León, and Silvia Hernández from the National Liberation Party (PLN); the representatives of National Restoration Eduardo Cruiskshank and Carlos Avendaño; Walter Muñoz from National Integration (PIN), José María Villalta from Frente Amplio; Welmer Ramos from Acción Ciudadana (PAC), and Pedro Muñoz from the Christian Social Unit (PUSC).

The president of the commission will be Ramos, accompanied in the secretariat by Pedro Muñoz. This conformation represents a challenge for the government party, as the ruling party is clearly overtaken by the other political forces.

The Commission should also receive representatives of several entities, including the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic. The aim is to have an external analysis on the effect that the bill could have on State finances.

There will also be hearings with representatives of the Ministry of Labor to see the implications on public employment and the Treasury to listen to their specific proposals.
