Congressmen would take down small businesses bill

The Economic Affairs Committee of the Legislative Assembly closed the debate on a bill that would create an agency to assist small and medium enterprises (PYMES in Spanish).

During the bill’s first discussion, most legislators concluded the proposal was not feasible and also questioned its funding methods.

The government of Luis Guillermo Solis had high hopes that the bill would help revive the local economy.
