Costa Rica celebrated the Day of Good Actions

For the fifth year in a row, the World Day of Good Actions was celebrated in Costa Rica. Several activities were held in various parts of the country with the participation of many people.

For this 2018, it was decided to extend the event to a week, so there will be activities to commemorate this date until next Sunday.

In five years we have grown, as a country, in solidarity and the work of thousands of volunteers has become a global example. That’s why we decided to turn the Good Actions Day into a week and thus be able to add more projects and have more positive impact for more people,”

said Joseph Gabriel, President of Bnai Brith Costa Rica, organizing company of the DGA.

Some of the projects that will be carried out are the reestablishment and beautification of Parque # 3 of Lindora, which will be in charge of students of public and private schools; the donation of 592 pairs of sports shoes to students of Sagrada Familia, as well as the visit of a group of children at risk to an Asylum to share with senior citizens who recovered from alcoholism.

On Sunday, different activities were carried out in La Sabana, such as an “Abrazatón” where people gave hug to those who wanted it or made kites for the parents of children who died due to illness.

There will be other projects throughout the week focused on raising awareness about recycling, bulliyng, tolerance, reading, and solidarity.
