Costa Rica to generate more jobs this year

The United States has the highest expectations of job creation in the Americas in the second quarter of 2017, partly because of the optimism of its business sector regarding the policies of President Donald Trump.

However, Costa Rica is also among the countries with a good environment to create new jobs, according to Manpower, with 11%, which is more than expected in Canada (7%), Panama (6%) and Argentina (4%). But it is less than the expectations of rising jobs in Colombia and Mexico (12%) or Guatemala (13%)-

According to the survey of human resources from Manpower, which consulted 23,000 company personnel from 10 American countries, the United States has a 17% net job creation trend in the second quarter of the year.

Hiring plans in the United States remain positive. Expectations remain relatively stable quarterly and yearly, with one in five employers hoping to increase their payrolls over the next three months,”

quotes the report.

Trump is a politician who generates a lot of controversy, but he is also a businessman of high esteem and therefore the business sector foresees dynamics that allow to generate 17 new jobs per every 100 current jobs,”

explained Ariel Ayala, manager of Manpower in Panama.

Brazil is the only country in the region in negative numbers. It is mainly due to its current unstable socioeconomic situation,”

concluded Ayala.
