Costa Ricans will not need a visa for Russia from May

Costa Ricans traveling to Russia for a period of three months or less won’t need to apply for a visa from that country.

On May 25th, the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Costa Rica on the conditions for the abolition of visa formalities in mutual trips will come into force, informed the Russian embassy.

The visa is for a period of up to 90 days unless they intend to carry out any labor or commercial activity in the territory of the Russian Federation. Costa Ricans can enter without a visa to a total of 150 territories, but they need the document in at least 75, mostly in Asia and Africa.
