Costa Ricans won’t need a visa to travel to United Arab Emirates

According to the Chancellery of the Republic, the UAE will eliminate the visa requirement for all Costa Rican citizens.

Prior to the visit of President Luis Guillermo Solís, Foreign Minister Manuel González held a bilateral meeting with his emirate counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, in which he agreed to eliminate this requirement.

In addition, Foreign Minister and the sheikh discussed ways to support the process of reconstruction after Hurricane Otto.

This was the first meeting between both nations’ representatives in 15 months.

This time the sheik was honored with the National Order “Juan Mora Fernández” for his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
