Country under alert: wind speed will reach 90 km/h

The country remains on alert due to heavy rains and high speed of the winds. The Caribbean and the North Zone are under yellow alert, while the North Pacific, Central and Central Valley issued a green alert.

The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) predicted that by December 7th, the speed of wind gusts would between 80 and 90 kilometers per hour and that rainfall would concentrate in the Caribbean and mountainous sectors.

These conditions respond in part to the effects of the cold front number two. However, the IMN indicated they are expected to recede.

The lowest temperatures will be recorded in Cartago and Ciudad Quesada, while the highest in Puntarenas.
