Cubans hid between cylinders to enter the country

On Sunday, the security forces found a new mechanism for people trafficking in the South.

Agents who held a checkpoint at La Gamba de Golfito intercepted a truck and checked the box to find 6 Cubans hiding between gas cylinders.

These people had irregular migratory condition. Apparently, they would have paid about $1,000 to enter the country that way.

The officers immediately coordinated with the Office of the Public Prosecution of the locality, to initiate the investigation related to the crime of human trafficking.

The truck driver, whose identity is under police verification, was arrested.

The Cubans received humanitarian attention from the Public Force and, after confirming their good health, they were transferred to a Golfito hotel as the investigation progresses.
