Dengue cases in decline

So far this year, the damage by the bite of Aedes aegypti have declined.

Data from the Ministry of Health indicate that 7 out of 9 health regions have experienced a decrease in the number of dengue cases. Around 1,062 people have been victims of dengue so far this year, which is a decrease of 66.9 percent over the same period in the previous year when 3,208 people were affected. Cases increased in cantons of Corredores and Brunca.
