The Ministry of Health reported that all types of vaccines require a prescription. Which also applies for dengue vaccine that is already available in private pharmacies nationwide.
It is compulsory for anyone who wants to be vaccinated to visit a doctor for authorization, because there are absolute and relative contraindications for it.
All persons under 9 years old and older than 45 cannot get the vaccine against dengue, nor is it indicated for pregnant women, nursing mothers, people who are undergoing chemotherapy, people with febrile illness, or those who are allergic to any component of the vaccine.
