On November 4th, Desamparados neighbors will join a night race which will be done in order to make a call for peace in the canton.
“Desamparados lives, a canton united against violence” is the name of the activity and it is an important part of the celebrations of the 154th anniversary of the canton.
The activity is organized by the municipality and has the participation of several institutions and companies such as: Desamparados Cantonal Sports Committee, Runners Shop, Fim Gym, Zona Centro Mall, Express Mall and the American Embassy.
With the money collected, the pink house project, a resting place for people with diseases such as cancer, will take place.
two tours
Those who wish to participate will have to choose between 2 options:
5 km race: You will leave the Olympic Village, will go through Dos Cercas San Antonio and go back to the starting point.
9.5 km race: You will leave the Olympic Village, will pass through San Antonio, Los Dorados, Porvenir, Dos Cercas and return to the starting point.
The registration fee is 6000 colones, which includes hydration, shirt, medal, bag and fruits. This activity was coordinated with the Public Security Force and the Municipal Police.
