DiDi confirms it will begin operations in “the next few days”

DiDi, the Chinese giant that will compete with Uber in Costa Rica, confirmed that it will begin operations in “the next few days” in national territory. The company said the DiDi Passenger application is now available for download on Android and iOS devices.

As part of the launch, users will have discounts of up to 50% in prices if they use the PURAVIDA code. DiDi said that the drivers who sign up will operate with a 15% service rate (Uber operates with 25%), will have a service line 24 hours a day and other advantages that will be announced shortly.

We have carefully studied the needs of people in Costa Rica, in order to launch a service that really contributes to the country, enhance safe mobility, improve quality of life, and encourage entrepreneurship among Ticos. This is why we are determined to offer a service with high quality standards and a constant focus on safety improvements and the experience of each trip. We are very happy to announce the start of our service within the next few days,”

said Pablo Mondragón, DiDi manager in Costa Rica.
