The eighth Parade for Diversity was held this Sunday at noon on Paseo Colón and it was marked by a significant turnout. People from all over the country went to the place to continue the struggle for the demand for fundamental rights for the LBGTI community.

According to the organization, the activity was attended by more than 80 thousand people, who came with friends or relatives. For many of them, the important thing was to be present,

we have made much progress on human rights, but we must continue. This is the opportunity to tell society that we are all the same. We’re not gay, lesbian or trans, we’re just humans and that’s what we wanted to prove this afternoon,”

said an attendee at the event.

The idea was to meet and show the world that there are many who belong to the LBGTI community. As one young woman who participated puts it,

it was of the utmost importance to come and teach heterosexual people that we are united, that the rights they have denied us must be granted.”
