Doctor: ruling is a blow to medical tourism

Abel Víquez, a doctor who won a lawsuit against the College of Physicians, asserts that the ruling of the Administrative Dispute Tribunal, in his favor, is a blow to medical tourism, which is increasingly sought after in the country.

After an administrative process of about 4 years, Víquez was condemned with the suspension of his license, which did not happen due to the legal procedures.

Jimmy Meza, from the Legal Department of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, indicated that this is a subjective and personal appreciation of the physician.

Here the doors are always open for anyone who has a complaint involving the exercise of the medical profession,”

said Meza.
