Dollar reaches its highest level since July of 2010

The average price of the dollar in the Monex wholesale market Wednesday recorded its highest level since July of 2010, reaching ¢530.33 (colones to dollars rate) at the close of the day.

According to data supplied by the Central Bank of Costa Rica (BCCR), the dollar’s highest point was reached on July 6, 2010, when the average rate was ¢532.55.

The recent increase added ¢2 to the value of $1.
